Carta enviada al director de la UNESCO, 100.000 firmas en contra el paso del AVE cerca de la Sagrada Familia y La Pedrera

Dear Sir,

I am sorry to bother you again, but I’ think that it is very important to send you the adjoined report related to the protection of Gaudi’s monuments: The Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera.

Most people in Barcelona and all the interested people on the protection and integrity of Gaudí monuments are very frightened because of the dangerous impact of the AVE tunnel on them.

There are many associations, legal proceedings against the construction of this underground tunnel through Barcelona, about 100.000 signatures of people around de world have been collected, many meetings and public actions, conferences, etc. have been organized… but it is difficult to achieve practical results because we need a more powerful help.

We think that may be you through the UNESCO could be this powerful organisation to decide about the best for the Sagrada Familia. We will be very grateful about everything you decide in the case you would be inclined to study our difficult situation. May be an UNESCO mission could visit Barcelona in order to evaluate all the factors in situ.
